Jeff Holt is a man after my own heart. He has caught the singletrack bug and it's a big one. When he approached us about his desire to build miles upon blissful miles of trail on his Huntsville property, we were beyond excited. I had imagined what this property might look like until Jeff took us on a personal tour of his gem of mountains, surrounding a hidden little valley, accessible from any corner of Huntsville via road, then dirt road. We were blown away. Riding around on his Commander, we explored along the cottonwood lined stream, then up the mountain through maple, aspen, and sagebrush to a lookout over the valley, peaking into pineview and the surrounding Wasatch mountains.
The possibilities appear endless with the varried landscape of pine coated mountains and rolling hillsides of spindly maple skirting the valley floor.
What really impresses me about this land, is its versatility. There are outbuildings, a corral, and the spacious valley has the capacity to hold plenty of racers who want to camp out for a race venue. I'm all for sprint, cross-country, and endurance events and this could be the destination for it all.
