Beus Canyon is a must do on the hiker's list. The leaves on Ogden's East Bench have popped. The color is peaking and the daytime temps are perfect. The Bonneville Shoreline connects near the bottom so stay right at that intersection and follow the fern covered terrain upstream. A couple miles up, we took a right which led South, away from the water on an even steeper trail. Eventually we were practically bush-whacking through scrub oak but the view of the pine covered mountain accross from us in Birch Canyon was gorgeous.
To access Beus, head East on 4600 S. from Harrison Blvd. in Ogden and at the top of that road there is parking on the left. Deb
